MADT 307 - Computational Art

This is the final version of my bottle. During this project, I have some challenges when I took the measurement of the components because they are very small, so I think some of the components don't have really accurate measurement. I tried to create the text and the graphic for the bottle by using AI and export in SVG form but it ended up rendering very slow, so I gave up on it. But I will try again at some point. However, I really enjoy doing this project, and I like the look of it in the render view with all the material and color, it look accurate to my real bottle.

I make the cap and the head of the bottle. there is some interesting part here when I make the texture of the head.

I start this project by creating the body of the bottle first. I have some challenge using Revolve tool when I have to revolve with an eye shape but I revolve with the circle shape.

 The first object I choose is a binder clip. It has the interesting and complex shape. It can also be taken apart with 2 legs. I find the binder clip is an interesting object because beside the function of clipping paper, I can also use it as a cable holder by the curve from the two legs.  The second object in my list is my lipstick. I choose it because it is the object that I use every day, and it has a simple but formal shape. The last object in my list, which is also the one I will choose for this Reverse Engineered Object is the bottle of hair spray. This is also my everyday object, and the bottle has an interesting shape which is curve. I can also take it apart with those small components such as the cap, the spray part,... so I think it will be fun and interesting to model this object.

I am mostly playing with the polygon to create the shape of snow and the texture of ice. I also play with the color to create the feeling of "snow in fall", so I added some orange and pink. I am creating a pattern with the theme of Ice and Snow due to Calgary weather, which I don't like the cold but I also enjoy the pretty snow.   I am also interested in the Offset tool, so I create these shape by InterpCRV and make Offset, and I place them randomly to make this pattern This is some interesting pattern of everyday things that I have found. WELCOME TO MY RYAN CASTLE This is an imagination castle that I create for my very favorite emoji character from a social media application, and his name is Ryan. I really enjoy creating this castle and I also enjoy exploring the Rhino software For this model, I mostly use cylinders, cubes, and spheres. I also use the command extrudeCrv and Cap to create a the shape from the surface that I draw, such as the banner. I use the command BooleanDifferent to make the empty hole as the windows. I think I am successful of creating this model and I am happy with it. One thing that I want to explore more is that how to create texture for the objects.

Since I only had only one ax before, so when I threw the ax to destroy the ghost, if the ax went to far from the VR camera, I cannot pick it up anymore. Therefore, this time I add some more ax and import a treasure case model which can contain the axes, so if an ax go to far, I can pick up another the one from the treasure box. I am happy with this progress because it comes out as my expectation, and it was very interesting for me during this progress because I have explored and learn many new things and techniques from this software. I would like to explore and develop my skill more on this software.
